My Quest Experience

Honestly, this quest was harder than I expected. Not because of the boss fight or money - it was the Yellow Crystal avalanche timer.

My first attempt, I had no idea there was a time limit. I was climbing slowly and got buried by the avalanche. Second attempt I rushed too fast, skipped a platform and fell to my death. Third attempt I finally succeeded - the key is finding the right route, don't rush.

My Completion Times

  • Blue Crystal: 10 minutes (easiest - just find the spot and break ice)
  • Green Crystal: 25 minutes (Guardian boss isn't hard, bring enough health)
  • Yellow Crystal: 40 minutes (including 2 failed attempts)
  • Red Crystal: 1.5 hours (collecting fragments is tedious)
  • Total: About 4 hours

Yellow Crystal Detailed Guide (Important)

This is where most people fail the quest. Many get stuck here, so let me share how to get through it.

Avalanche Mechanic

  • Trigger: Timer starts the moment you step on the mountain base
  • Time Limit: About 60 seconds (didn't time exactly, but feels around 1 minute)
  • Failure: Avalanche pushes you off the mountain, start over
  • Retry: Wait for snow to stop (about 2 minutes) then try again

The Route I Found

  1. At the start go left, don't take the steep slope in front
  2. There's a platform in the middle where you can catch your breath
  3. When you see a fork, take the right path - left is a dead end
  4. Last section just sprint, don't hesitate

If you have a speed boost item, this is the best place to use it.

Guardian Boss Strategy

You need to beat the Guardian for Green Crystal. This boss isn't too hard, but you might fail if you don't know the mechanics.

My Strategy

  • Prep: 5 health potions is enough, I only used 3
  • Attack Pattern: Guardian has an obvious wind-up animation, dodge when you see it
  • Damage Window: 2-3 seconds of stagger after its charged attack
  • Ranged Advantage: If you have a ranged weapon, fight becomes much easier

My Recommendation

  • Level 75-219: Use Trident Rod, best value for money
  • Level 220+ with money: Upgrade to Heaven's Rod
  • Level 220+ but low on cash: Keep using Trident to save up

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I fail the Yellow Crystal?

Wait about 2 minutes for the snow to stop, then try again. No need to teleport away - just wait in place.

What if I can't beat the Guardian?

You can team up - more players doesn't increase boss HP. Or bring more health potions and learn its attack pattern, then it's not hard.

Where are the Red Crystal fragments?

Fragments are scattered around the world. I recommend collecting them while fishing. You can ask other players or check maps for specific locations - they're fixed but there are quite a few.

How much does Heavenly mutation add?

Heavenly mutation gives about 9x value. For example, a fish that normally sells for 1000C$ would sell for around 9000C$ with Heavenly mutation.

Tips for Beginners

  • Save up first: 2.26M C$ is a lot - bring enough money before starting, saves a second trip
  • Yellow Crystal takes practice: Failing is normal, just find the right route
  • No rush on Red Crystal: Collect fragments while playing normally, no need to farm specifically
  • Team up for Guardian: Fighting the boss with others makes it easier, share the damage
